Salt (2010)-Movie Review

plot: As a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt swore an oath to duty, honor and country. Her loyalty will be tested when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture. Salt’s efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast doubt on her motives, as the hunt to uncover the truth behind her identity continues and the question remains: “Who is Salt?” (source: IMDb)

Witchy’s Review: Angelina Jolie gave a stellar performance in this suspenseful action drama.  Her character was well played and believable.  The storyline had just enough twist and turns to keep me interested.  I literally was on the edge of my seat during a couple of scenes.  I believe that the director should have spent less time on the smack down scenes, which Jolie did extremely well, and a little more developing the plot.   If he’d done that, this would be a fantastic movie, instead of merely an entertaining one.  This movie with it’s cast, and storyline could have been so much more.  Definitely worth the price of the discount matinee ticket, but don’t go all out and spend the big bucks for full admission on this one.
