Plot: Martin is a mentally disturbed loner who lives with his mother in a bleak housing project. He works the night shift as a security guard in an equally grim and foreboding underground parking complex. To escape his dreary existence, Martin loses himself in the fantasy world of the cult horror film The Human Centipede (First Sequence), fetishizing the meticulous surgical skills of the gifted Dr. Heiter, whose knowledge of the human gastrointestinal system inspires Martin to attempt the unthinkable.
My Thoughts: I was one of the people who went into watching the first one reading about all of the hype that was placed on it, how disturbing it was and how fowl it was. If you are anything like me you would of seen that movie as a huge disappointment, it didn’t deliever on the hype that it promised, then we heard about the 2nd one, the infamous “Full Sequence” that would make the first one look like my little pony. Well, then the rumors come around on the internet, and Britain decides to post a spoiler to the movie, telling every little detail about the fully uncut version months before it’s release or screening anywhere else. Clearly this angered every horror junkie who wanted to see this movie because it gave away the sick details. Then we hear it’s been banned in Britain and other European countries. THC2 was supposed to be “unleashed” in it’s fully uncut self in Austrailia, we see how that turned out. After three screenings of the film, it was banned in Austrailia.
Martin, is probably one of the sickest people that has every been put to film, I don’t mean that in the literal sense because of his phsyic, I mean it because he is so insane and so bent on creating one of the most foul things every seen in film.
I will answer the first question, yes, it was in all black and white, as weird as it is, it’s entirely black and white, the second question:
Is it the sickest movie ever made?
Define sick, if you are squeemish about violence and rape, and other bizaar sexual fantasies, then by all means this is the sickest movie ever made.
I have watched some sick movies in my life so those things don’t really phase me, so this movie is not the sickest movie ever, 120 days of sodom or A Serbian Film are the two who hold that title in my book.
With that said, this movie is not for the faint of heart, it has some of the most violent aspects to a movie that I have ever seen, the black and white sort of dilutes the violence and intensity but even though it’s black and white, your mind can still fill in the color and you know exactly what is going on at all times.
The acting, Laurence R. Harvey, who played Martin, should win an oscar for his performance, he is one of the most sick individuals that has ever starred in a film. He surpassed Dieter Laser by a mile with his acting and portrayal of a person who has officially lost their mind.
Onto my rating, if I gave this film a 5 out of 5 people may see me as even more of a sick individual than I already am, but I can’t help it, the movie was amazing, this actually lived up to it’s hype and far surpassed it! 5 out of 5!
