Saw 1 – Movie Review

Saw

Plot: Two men are left in a bathroom to find a way to survive and they unwillingly take part in a psychological game to determine if they are worthy of life.

This movie opens up strong and finishes up even stronger giving us questions that we ask about the movie and about ourselves.

My Thoughts: Saw, the movie that changed the horror and suspense genre from the first movie and now even to the end. In my journey to watch all of the Saw’s again so I could review all of them. My journey starts here.

The movie is so intense of its kind, other than the sequels to this movie and the collector no movies are like it, the traps are original, the fear and terror are all intense. This movie has a perfect back story to it, a story of how far will you go, what will you do. This movie scores so many points just because of something simple that makes all movies great, originality. The movie is bloody, disgusting and grotesque. All of the traps in this movie are beyond brutal. The movie, and the entire series, is not for the feint of heart. The movie will stay with you long after you finish watching it, keeping you asking yourself, what would I do?

I would rate this movie a 4.8 out of 5 because I loved every single second, every trap, everything, is executed so well. I recommend viewing to all the people that haven’t already seen it.
